Jamaican bioethanol: an environmental and economic life cycle assessment

E10 is a blend of 10% bioethanol and 90% gasoline that can be used in the engines most cars without causing damage. Currently for blend, Jamaica imports from Trinidad & Tobago Brazil because production at an early stage. However, country has great potential production. In order to assess environmental economic feasibility Jamaica, this paper presents life cycle assessment case study two different scenarios. The Baseline Scenario represents use current conditions which comes Tobago. I with comparative revealed had better results than ten categories. were 7% higher Scenario. Hence, context (Baseline Scenario) was identified as scenario best performance. Therefore, situation scored economical point views. It recommended increase bagasse cogeneration lower impacts. To improve their productivity, it necessary Jamaican sugar infrastructure by combining molasses cane juice produce bioethanol.
